You can see the Pacific Ocean out the window! I had a asada burrito and an orange bang! The meat was so tender! I could only eat half because it was huge! Very nice people working there, so friendly and it was clean!

When I lived in El Segundo, El Tarasco was a weekly staple. I'm a big fan of their Carnitas plate. Generous portions, you can usually get two meals out of it, I could get three. The owner is always nice and accommodating if you can be. The food is well pricedfor what you get. They're quick and great parking in the back typically. After you're good on, go down and have a beer at El Segundo brewery.

Solid Americanized Mexican food at reasonable prices. Lots of entree w/beans and rice options for $10-$12. Looks like a hole in the wall

Decent Mexican at a decent price in El Segundo. I was attending the Cinecon Film Festival at the Old Town Music Hall, and we had a lunch break, so my companions and I went in search of a quick, not too expensive lunch in the area, since we'd already gone to the place across the street a couple times. El Tarasco had room on the patio outside and it was a gorgeous day, so we sat there. I had the Shrimp Enchiladas, which is always my go to Mexican. I honestly didn't pay attention to what the guys ordered, since my face was in my plate! I inhaled it. The chips and salsa were also really good. I would have ordered a margarita, but didn't want to risk falling asleep for the afternoon films (I'm a lightweight. LOL) I'm deducting a point for the abysmal shape of the restrooms. They were pretty cringe.

A must stop in Manhattan Beach. The food is cooked on the spot in this cozy (no more than 700 sq foot) restaurant. The burritos are enormous portion. The ambiance is authentic. Within the hour we were there, there were numerous locals that came in for their "usual." You can sense why this place has been there for over fifty years and the decor unchanged. It is a charming place with fresh food, lovely owners who care about food and service. El Tarasco is a hidden gem.
